When I look at the growth of SICRA since our inception just a couple of years ago, I am extremely proud of what we have been able to achieve. I am also grateful to all our partners and collaborators that have contributed to this amazing journey which has made SICRA one of the recognizable Clinical Research entity in the country.
As we appreciate where we have come from, we are even much more excited about where we are going. Over the past few years, SICRA has focused on building robust structures and strengthening capacities for clinical research from establishing a well-trained research team, to developing systems and processes that ensure research is implemented with strict ethical and scientific rigor. As such, we have been able to attain the necessary experience in conducting high level complex phase III clinical trials including vaccine trials during outbreak settings
The hard work to realize our dream and the core objectives for our establishment has now launched us into transitioning from just conducting Clinical Trials to implementing health development programs, including Training and Capacity building for Research, which is one of our other pillars of foundation.
As we walk this journey, it is satisfying to know that we have the support of core stakeholders including our host, Lira Regional Referral Hospital, the Community Advisory Board, the local government, our staff, and the general community where we draw our research participants. This model of working with collective support has enabled us to realize our short-term goals in an amazing fashion. This is the reason we are committed to continue establishing new partnerships.
